To utilize the GCRC services, please complete the application forms and e-mail to Helen Williams-Bayne.

     After you have submitted the appropriate forms, your protocol will be sent out for review to members of the GCRC Advisory Committee. If there are no questions/comments from the reviewers your protocol will be presented to the GCRC Advisory Committee meeting on the last Tuesday of each month for approval. If any of the reviewers have questions/comments regarding your protocol, these will be sent to you via e-mail and will require your response. After you respond to the questions/comments it will be sent to the appropriate reviewer for approval/comments. The approximate time to approve a protocol is a month.

     After your protocol is approved you will receive initial notification on e-mail by Helen Williams-Bayne, followed by an official approval letter .

     It is then necessary to schedule a protocol discussion with Heather Barber (310) 825-5225 in the GCRC. The GCRC staff attends this discussion. A template will be sent to you to describe the necessary information to be discussed in the protocol discussion.

     After the protocol discussion you will be able to schedule the patients on your study.
